Have questions?
How do I know if my child needs to improve on their Executive Functioning Skills?
Great question! If your child often forgets instructions, gets overwhelmed by simple tasks, has trouble starting or finishing things, or melts down when plans change, chances are, executive functioning might be the sneaky culprit. These skills are like the brain's personal assistant, helping with planning, focus, emotional control and memory. If that assistant is taking a few too many tea breaks, your child might need a little extra support. The good news? Executive functioning can absolutely be improved with the right tools and guidance (like our toolkit!). Think of it as giving their brain a helpful upgrade.
At school, poor executive functioning can show up in all sorts of ways, messy desks, missing homework, zoning out in class, or taking forever to get started on a task. It’s not about laziness or defiance; it’s about needing more support with the behind-the-scenes skills that keep everything running smoothly. When we teach these skills explicitly, we’re not just helping them stay organised, we’re boosting their confidence, helping them feel more in control, and setting them up to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Can I use my NDIS Funding?
We understand that navigating the NDIS can be overwhelming, and we want to make things as transparent and accessible as possible. While we are not a registered NDIS provider, many families have successfully used their funding to purchase our toolkits, particularly those who are self-managed or plan-managed.
If you are self-managed, you can usually purchase items and claim the cost directly through the NDIS portal. If you are plan-managed, your plan manager may be able to process the invoice for you, provided the purchase is aligned with your child's NDIS goals.
Please note that if your plan is NDIA-managed (also known as agency-managed), you will likely not be able to purchase this product using NDIS funds, as this requires the provider to be officially registered with the NDIS.
To ensure this purchase is appropriate for your child's plan, we strongly recommend speaking with your NDIS planner, support coordinator or plan manager. They can help confirm whether the toolkit fits within your child’s individual goals and funding categories.
Our toolkits may fall under the following support categories, depending on your child’s plan and the intended use of the product:
such as Assistance with Daily Life or Access to Community, Social and Recreational Activities
such as Improved Daily Living Skills, particularly if your goals involve routines, emotional regulation, or skill development at home or in educational settings
Please keep in mind: If you require a formal invoice or supporting documentation for claiming purposes, we are more than happy to provide this upon request.
Who would you recommend this for?
Personally, I would recommend the toolkit for children with Level 1 or Level 2 Autism in Kindergarten to Year 6, specifically for the magazines. However, the parent guide is suitable for all ages and can support you no matter how old your child is or what level of autism they have. It focuses on adaptable games and helps you understand your child on a deeper level. If I were in your position, I would see the parent guide as a gem. I’d adapt the magazines by reading them aloud or using them as a guide to create engaging and more difficult games.

I Found Myself Reading Every Chater!
I just found out that my son has additional needs, and honestly, it can feel overwhelming trying to find the right information online. Healthcare professionals only spend an hour with my son but I'm with him every day so I want to learn how to support him in the best way possible! I was lucky enough to read the manuscript and I found the parent's guide easy to read and broken down into understandable chunks, which made it so much easier to take it.
